1. Markets and team prices

Each Fluxer market is linked to a sporting event and the participating teams.

Each team has a team price shown in FXC. The team price is the current price of one unit linked to that team.

Team prices are determined by Fluxer using external market information and the platform’s pricing model. The number of positions opened by users does not directly increase or decrease a team price.

Before an event, the team price may move when there is a meaningful change in underlying market expectations. After the event, the confirmed sporting result determines the applicable post-match price change.

Small or temporary changes in underlying market information may not result in a price change.

2. Opening, holding and closing positions

To open a position, select a team, choose the number of units, select an available multiplier if required, review the position details and confirm.

Positions are opened using whole units.

A standard position is a position without a multiplier. It can be held as the team moves through future fixtures, with its current position value changing as the team price moves.

When closing is available, you can close a standard position and realise its current value.

Positions cannot be opened or closed while the relevant event is in progress.

A multiplied position applies to a single event and is automatically settled after that event.

3. Price Scenarios

Price Scenarios show the possible post-match team prices and price changes associated with predetermined sporting outcomes. They are illustrations, not predictions or guarantees.

For football, the applicable outcome is determined using the score after 90 minutes plus injury time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are not included.

For a winning team, the relevant outcome is based on the number of goals the team scores, not its winning margin. For a losing team, it is based on the number of goals the team concedes, not its losing margin. A draw is treated separately.

For example:

  • Win and score 1 or 2 goals: includes results such as 1-0, 2-0 and 2-1.
  • Win and score 3 goals: includes results such as 3-0, 3-1 and 3-2.
  • Win and score 4 or more goals: includes results such as 4-0, 4-1, 4-2 and 4-3.
  • Draw: applies to any draw after regular playing time.
  • Lose and concede 1 or 2 goals: includes results such as 0-1, 0-2 and 1-2.
  • Lose and concede 3 or more goals: applies when the team loses and concedes at least three goals.

This means, for example, that a 4-3 win falls within the applicable win and score 4 or more goals outcome. It is not treated as a one-goal winning-margin result.

The Price Scenarios shown for a market allow you to see the possible post-match team price and percentage price change before opening a position. Fluxer’s underlying pricing process converts possible sporting outcomes into corresponding price changes.

4. Multipliers

Where available, you can apply a multiplier to an eligible single-match position.

Available multipliers currently range from 2x to 6x, although not every multiplier will be available for every position.

A multiplier increases the effect of price change without changing the number of units in your position. For example, a 3x multiplier applies three times the relevant price change to that position.

Both potential gains and potential losses are increased by the multiplier.

Available multipliers may be restricted where a higher multiplier could cause the potential loss to approach or exceed the full amount allocated to the position.

A multiplied position applies to one event and is automatically settled after that event.

5. Price change and charts

A team price can move before and after a sporting event.

Before the event: meaningful changes in underlying market expectations can cause the team price to move. Fluxer uses external market information as an input and filters smaller movements that do not meet the threshold for a price update.

During the event: opening and closing are unavailable and pre-match repricing stops when the event begins.

After the event: the confirmed sporting result is matched to the applicable outcome within Price Scenarios and the team price is updated accordingly.

Team price charts show historical price changes. Available periods may include one match, five matches, ten matches and the full season.

6. Market status

Market status shows whether a market is open, suspended, closed or settled.

When a market is open, the actions currently available to you are shown on the platform.

A market may be suspended where event status, underlying data, pricing conditions or platform safeguards prevent normal operation.

Opening and closing are unavailable while the relevant event is in progress.

7. Settlement

Settlement is the post-event process that applies the confirmed sporting result and updates the team price.

For football, settlement is based on the official score after 90 minutes plus injury time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded.

For basketball, settlement is based on the official final score, including overtime.

For football, the confirmed score determines which predetermined outcome within Price Scenarios applies. That outcome is then used to determine the post-match team price.

A standard position reflects the updated team price following settlement. A multiplied position is automatically settled after the event.

Settlement may be delayed where event information or third-party data needs to be verified. The Terms and Conditions contain the full settlement provisions.

8. Postponed, cancelled and corrected events

If an event is postponed, interrupted or abandoned, the market may be suspended while its status is confirmed.

If an event does not officially resume within 24 hours of its originally scheduled start time, it is treated as a cancellation. The original position is returned to your portfolio.

Where an official result, event status or underlying data is corrected, affected activity may also need to be corrected or resettled.

The Terms and Conditions contain the full rules covering cancellations, postponements and data errors.

9. Maximum loss and safeguards

The maximum loss on a position cannot exceed the full amount allocated to that position.

This means you may lose the full amount allocated to a position, but you cannot lose more than that amount.

When a multiplier is used, Fluxer restricts the available multiplier where necessary to prevent the potential loss from exceeding the amount allocated to the position.

If a team price falls below 0.02 FXC, the position is automatically closed to protect any remaining value.

Fluxer may also use pricing, position and market safeguards to restrict available multipliers, position sizes or market actions where required.
